Blog: This week's OUT OF THE BAG 30-04-2014 @ 9pm (BST) with guests Independent Politician, Keith Nolan and Leader of DDI, Jan Van De VenRead Now
My first guest this week is Keith Nolan, Independent Politician for Waterford City South. Working hard to secure votes in the upcoming local elections. I will be asking what his reasons are for entering politics. It should be a lively debate and gives Keith a platform to tell us his views and aspirations for Ireland, going forward.
Here is Keith's election statement:"As a candidate in the local elections 2014, I pledge to :
Fight property and water taxes. Oppose any cutbacks or new austerity taxes on ordinary people. Not to enter into coalitions or deals with the parties bringing in such measures.
Promote policies which unite ordinary people against austerity, fighting for the rights of all and resisting division on the lines of race, gender, religion or sexuality.
Call for a transfer to candidates signing up to this pledge."
I like his words......Do you?
I hope he enjoys his experience on OUT OF THE BAG!
Jan Van De Ven will be joining me to talk about his new position as Leader of Direct Democracy Ireland DDI, as a replacement for Ben Gilroy. I hope to expound on what and who DDI are and are about? To tell us the candidates for DDI around the country, in the upcoming local elections. To share with us HIS reasons for entering the political arena and what he and his party hope to achieve. To share with us his experience in running to be an M.E.P. in the European Parliament and why?
